I’m doing this for the money. No other reason, purely and simply I need the money. I’m not motivated by some higher ideal. I’m not trying to be some kind of saint or amazing individual bringing comfort and succour to those in need. I just need to earn a couple of grand a month to pay for the hugely expensive hobby my two daughters have become embroiled in. More of that later. But first off let me explain the predicament I am in. Moved out of the Capital a couple of years ago to a beautiful rural part of the UK, sold the pad in North London and walked away with a lot of money which purchased a nice place with land. The girls discovered horses and the rest is history. It is the history, or more accurately, the complete and utter destruction of my finances. Not that I begrudge them, they are both very talented riders and will go places, and that’s the problem. An old nag in a field is relatively cheap two or three grand a year is enough. Quality horses, however, become very f***ing expensive. Which is why I need to find an extra 2k a month.
So, here I am. Living in an area where there is f*** all to do except artificially inseminate cattle, drive tractors, dig ditches or work in health care where, I am told there is a shortage of workers. This will be interesting.
This blog will be my thoughts and experiences of working in the health and social care sector. I will be highly opinionated and will draw upon my experience and expertise from other industries applying them to health and social care. Enjoy.
